
Charing
Cross Narrative Therapy was started by David Newman in 2001.
Since then David has met regularly with individuals, children,
couples and families for counselling and workers
for supervision. He has been joined by other teachers
in conducting ongoing training courses and hosted regular workshops
featuring highly regarded Narrative therapists from other
countries and locations in Australia.
David Newman has many years counselling experience across
many different settings. He has worked across many issues
including mental health, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship
problems, male sexual assault/child sexual assault, child
abuse, acquired brain injury and men’s use of violence.
David has also worked on several community development projects
including the themes of men’s use of violence and gender
and violence with young men in schools.
David is part of the teaching faculty at the Dulwich Centre in Adelaide.
He enjoys his counselling and teaching work very much, particularly
the rich opportunities that come with it.
